Support resources aren’t just for Parkinson’s disease patients. Support groups are for caregivers (and others living around Parkinson’s disease), too. Support groups are places where people can talk about their concerns related to Parkinson’s disease and listen to others, too. These groups may share insights on coping with Parkinson’s disease as well. To find a Parkinson’s disease support group, try one or more of the following:

  • Check with your patient’s doctor or a member of their office staff
  • Talk with local hospitals
  • Look at community calendars in local newspapers
  • Consult the phone book
  • Try contacting Parkinson’s disease organizations you find on the Internet
