Team up with your doctor to treat your Parkinson’s disease symptoms

Teamwork Is Key

Remember, you have a team of people working to treat you and your Parkinson’s disease symptoms. It's not just you and your doctor; your family and friends are all part of the team. But don’t forget the most important member of your team: you! Do your part by following the instructions from your doctor about diet, therapy, activities, medication, and other treatment strategies.

And don’t forget to tell your doctor how you’re feeling when you see him or her. What symptoms are you experiencing? When do they occur? What else have you observed? Ask them any questions you have about Parkinson’s disease or your own treatment. Make sure you take your medication as prescribed by your doctor. Finally, try to make all of your scheduled appointments and communicate regularly with your treatment team.
